Urgent Funding Application Closing May 17

The Foundation Continues to Accept General Grant Requests

The Rees-Jones Foundation will be closing the Urgent Funding Application on Sunday, May 17, 2020. Organizations who have not submitted their Urgent Funding Requests should do so prior to midnight on Sunday, May 17 in order to be considered.

The Foundation will continue to consider requests for ongoing programming as we transition to looking ahead at how we can best serve organizations in the long-term. If your organization is shifting to the next stage of programming as it pertains to the remainder of 2020-21, we advise you to consider submitting a regular grant application instead.*

The future of nonprofit organizations and their ability to serve the community is a priority of The Foundation. We remain committed to nonprofits in North Texas that defend the welfare of children suffering from abuse or neglect, afford relief to those facing mental health challenges, provide youth with opportunities for enrichment and character development, encourage healthy families and communities, enhance the lives of children, youth and families with disabilities, and promote the humane treatment of companion animals. To learn more about the issue areas that we fund, please visit our website.

We are grateful to all the organizations that continue to serve our community’s most vulnerable populations. It has been our great pleasure to respond to the urgent requests voiced by those nonprofits. Even as we close our urgent funding application, we will continue to monitor the health and economic situation in our community, so that we remain able to serve the families and youth of North Texas.

*If you have started an Urgent Funding Application, but no longer wish to submit it for consideration, you can delete the application by logging into the portal and clicking delete next to the appropriate application.

**Please note that if you have submitted an Urgent Funding Request, you should have received a confirmation email after submission. If you did not receive a confirmation email, please check your spam and review your application in the portal to ensure it was submitted – the status should say “Submitted” or “Pending” (if it says “In Progress” it has not been submitted).
