Urgent Funding Application Closed

The Foundation Continues to Accept General Grant Requests

The Rees-Jones Foundation officially closed the Urgent Funding Application on Sunday, May 17, 2020. The Foundation will continue to consider requests for ongoing programming as we transition to looking ahead at how we can best serve organizations in the long-term.

The future of nonprofit organizations and their ability to serve the community is a priority of The Foundation. We remain committed to nonprofits in North Texas that defend the welfare of children suffering from abuse or neglect, afford relief to those facing mental health challenges, provide youth with opportunities for enrichment and character development, encourage healthy families and communities, enhance the lives of children, youth and families with disabilities, and promote the humane treatment of companion animals. To learn more about the issue areas that we fund, please visit our website.

We are grateful to all the organizations that continue to serve our community’s most vulnerable populations. It has been our great pleasure to respond to the urgent requests voiced by those nonprofits. Even though our urgent funding application is now closed, we will continue to monitor the health and economic situation in our community, so that we remain able to serve the families and youth of North Texas.

At the beginning of June, we will share a blog post recapping the truly inspiring work of our nonprofit partners during the COVID-19 outbreak.

*If you started an Urgent Funding Application, but did not submit it for consideration, please delete the application by logging into the portal and clicking delete next to the appropriate application. The Foundation will withdraw applications not deleted by Monday, June 1, 2020 and the status reflected in the portal will be “Declined”.

**Please note that when you submit a Request, you will receive a confirmation email after submission. If you do not receive a confirmation email, please check your spam and review your application in the portal to ensure it was submitted – the status should say “Submitted” or “Pending” (if it says “In Progress” it has not been submitted). Please view our Portal Help Guide for additional assistance.
