Celebrating 20 Years of Relationships
Happy 2026! We know that a new year often brings new reflections, resolutions, and exciting aspirations as we move into the next 12 months. Families are diving back into school and work, organizations are strategizing for the year ahead, and communities are joining together to seek the best for their neighbors.
As we begin 2026, The Rees-Jones Foundation is especially reflective as we move into our 20th year of grantmaking. Yes, 20 years! God has been so good to us. Psalm 126:3 comes to mind, “The Lord has done great things for us, and we are filled with joy.”
When the Rees-Jones family decided to begin the Foundation in 2006, their heart was simply to “serve God by serving others” and make a true impact in the lives of children and families. Fast forward 20 years and it is a blessing that the mission and heart have stayed the same. Times have changed, our city and our world looks a little different, but we believe the heart of God is the same and so is our mission to serve Him and serve others.
As we head into the year, we are going to celebrate with blog stories that help us remember the most meaningful moments of the past 20 years and showcase many of our long-term partners who have taught us the power of relationship.
To our longtime grantees—THANK YOU for your work. We have had the privilege to bear witness to your transformational work across North Texas and across the globe, and we simply sit in awe that we have had been able to be a small part of it.
If you have a favorite memory or story of working with our team, would you reach out to us and email smeyers@rees-jonesfoundation.org? We want to hear from you!
The theme for the year is RELATIONSHIPS—-because of you, our partners, we believe God has done and continues to do miracles across the world in the lives of children and their families. We are excited to keep up this work and we want to invite you to join us this year we recap some of our favorite moments from the past 20 years.
There is still more work to do, but right now we say—happy 20 years, Rees-Jones Foundation!
