Foundation Update
November 2009
The Rees-Jones Foundation is
Going to an online application.
On February 1, 2010, The Rees-Jones Foundation will begin taking requests
for grants through our new online application.
In an effort to enhance our ability to consider applications in a
thoughtful and timely manner, we are making the move to an exclusively
online application format. For all of our grantees who are accustomed
to submitting a hard copy application or an application by e-mail, we
are confident that you will find the new online application process
an easy transition.
To be clear, after January 31, 2010, we will no longer
be accepting grant requests in a hard copy format or by e-mail. However,
we will be here to assist you if you have any difficulty navigating
the online application. Contact us at info@rees-jonesfoundation.org.
In order to make the transition as smooth as possible we want to provide
a few pointers about submitting a grant request online:
- The online application will be accessible from our website. On February
1st the online application will be available by going to the How to
Apply page.
- As you peruse our website you will see our Mission Statement and
Grant Guidelines. These will remain the same, so grants that meet these
criteria are welcome and will be thoughtfully considered.
- The information required for an application will remain the same.
If you view our current hard copy application you will see 10 sections
that must be filled out to provide us with appropriate information
about your organization and grant request. The online application will
be requesting the same information.
- To apply online you will need a login username and password. Keep
your username and password for future use.
- The online application is broken out into four sections.
To complete the online application you will need to fill in text boxes
with pertinent data and descriptions. There is some information that
will need to be attached. If you are unable to complete the online
application in one sitting, you can save what you have done and finish
it at a later time.
- Once you have submitted your grant request you will
receive confirmation that the application has been received. At that
point your request will be under consideration.
- If any questions about
your grant application come up, the Foundation staff will be in contact
with you by e-mail. This remains the most effective way to communicate
with Foundation staff, and any questions or requests for supplemental
information will be communicated in this manner.
Our sincere goal is to continue to be a good faith partner with our
grantees. We hope that the online application enhances the process of
submitting a grant request to The Rees-Jones Foundation, and in fact,
makes us more accessible to our grantees. Thanks for your patience and
assistance in making this transition successful. |
